Jem! Jem is my name!

Jem for Rachel
It’s so very pink. So very outrageous.
I have a wallpaper-sized version, but because of how outrageously pink it is, I’m unsure if anyone will want all the retina-burning forever on their desktop. Send me an ask if you would like your eyes to bleed glitter, and I will send.
Kora drew me Jem, and it’s amazing.

Classic games

"My installation piece was inspired by old swap cards and books that allowed you to mix and match heads, feet, and bodies. Taking from some of the most classic games, the result offered as much interaction as the original games". - Andrew Kolb, Illustrator (via iam8bit Giant Swap Cards)

Hey. You. Website.
You are exactly pinterest.
Get a life and stop copying a site that I don’t even super like. If you’re gonna be an internet copycat, there’s better stuff out there to pretend to be. I hear youtube is pretty cool.
Note from 2022 Rachel: I didn't even remember this existed, why was I so full of rage.

Cameoreo

I’m a huge fan of cameos, and I’m in love with this Oreo Cameo by Judith G. Klausner.

After the Storm

Life goes on.
As in the above photograph of New Yorkers clustered outside a closed Starbucks coffee shop to take advantage of its working wi-fi post-Sandy, life along the Eastern Seaboard will slowly return to normal even as storm cleanup continues in the weeks to come.
Tomorrow, the New York Stock Exchange is set to re-open after two days of being closed, a spokesman said.
Officials are pondering whether the New York City Marathon, scheduled for next weekend, will continue as planned. "The New York Road Runners is moving ahead with everything we can do to be on the way to putting on a great marathon this Sunday," a spokesman told the New York Times.
One massive question of scheduling and moving on to life as usual, however, still lingers: Will Hurricane Sandy delay the election?
